CORE Gymball classes are closely supervised exercise sessions run by a physiotherapist. The classes offer a great general strengthening program for people of all ages and all levels of fitness. We offer both gymball and cardio classes.

CORE Gymball classes focus on strengthening and stretching. The classes offer a variety of resistance bands, weights and exercises to challenge the varying abilities. Class numbers are restricted to ensure the physios can cater for all levels in the class. From people who are returning to exercise after a long break, or those who have problems with ongoing back or neck pain to the elite athlete. The exercises are made more demanding as you get stronger, and can challenge even the strongest of abdominal muscles. Don’t worry if you are new to using a gymball – there are lots of ways to make it easier. Class numbers are limited to ensure the exercises are tailored to suit you.

CORE Cardio classes are also run by physiotherapists and are designed to get the heart rate up and get you fitter and stronger in a well-supervised class. The class involves boxing, light-weights and strength work.

I started attending Core Gymball over 5 years ago and would not hesitate to recommend this class to anyone.  The class is amazing and the instructors are both friendly and professional.  Where else can you do a class and have a physio at your side to ensure you are doing things the right way!   I have had three children and attended the classes throughout my pregnancies and from shortly after giving birth.  I found the classes extremely helpful in strengthening my core, I loved that each term there was a focus on something new and found that each class was always different and worthwhile.  All of this with the added benefit of having a health fund rebate makes the classes unique. Core Gymball is an amazing class.  I have played sport for years and am actively involved in sport now.  Up until I attended Core Gymball I had on and off back pain.  It was both frustrating and painful.  By attending the class and learning from the amazing instructors I have stopped having back pain!  Through Natasha's help and guidance I have strengthened my core and learned to exercise effectively without damaging my back.  I continue to play sport and feel that if I had not attending gymball and fixed my core strength my back would have only got worse.  My body has changed and I feel that I "hold" myself better and have much better posture since attending the class.  Notwithstanding all the perks listed above it is also a really fun class with a great group of people! I love the small classes and the warm, friendly atmosphere. It is always fun and I leave feeling lighter. I have never been an exercising person but gymball is something I do every week and really enjoy. I have never stuck at an exercise class for this long! Sandra

The fact that all the instructors at Core Gymball are fully qualified Physiotherapists see us in good hands and they are able to direct participants to prevent injury and to be able to train without hurting existing conditions. Sue

 

Core Gymball classes involve a solid workout using most muscle groups and often pushes beyond the comfort zone (this is where improvements happen!), combined with the stretching component each week Core Gymball has allowed me to cycle and run with comfort and without injury (except for crashes!) for some years. My general fitness and strength has improved noticeably since I started and my core strength has shot through the roof, which has lead to more efficient cycling, running and swimming!
